Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Manaus – Orientation Tour
Arrive in Manaus. Once you clear your immigration and custom, meet & greet your Local guide at the arrivals and proceed to Hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 02: Full day tour Meeting of the Waters
Ride from the hotel or to Floating Port of Manaus. A regional boat will go down Negro River, observing the shore of the city: the stilt-style houses, the Customs and Guardamoria buildings, the Adolpho Lisboa Municipal Market and the several igarapés” (creeks) that cross Manaus. Witness the “Meeting of the Waters”, a spectacular junction of the Negro and Solimões Rivers which runs for more than 12 kms, side by side, without mixing. The phenomenon happens due to the differences in temperature, density and speed of the waters of the rivers. Journey to Janauari Lake and stop at a craft center operated by the local people. Lunch will be served at a floating restaurant or onboard the boat. After lunch, ride on motorized canoes through igarapés (creeks) and igapós (flooded forests) to see the beautiful VitóriaRégia (Amazon Victória), an aquatic plant that reaches almost two meters in circumference, with borders of up to 10cm in height. During the tour, the visitor will learn about the culture and customs of the river residents. Depart from Janauari Lake to return to your hotel in Manaus.

Day 03: Half Day visit the indigenous community
Cross the river visit the Indian Village of Dessana tribe where we will visit their “maloca” and learn about their history, way of life, culture and ritual. The ritual consists of Indian music played with crafted instruments made by the Indians with parts of materials from the jungle that emits beautiful sounds like that in the jungle. There will also be a variety of music and dances that tell us more about their daily life. By the end of the ritual, visitors will be invited to take part in a ceremonial dance. Following the dance, amazing Indian crafts will be on display.
