Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive at Nairobi

Welcome to Nairobi, Kenya. Upon clearing immigration and customs, meet & greet your local guide/driver holding a placard with your name at the arrival hall. You will then be transferred to your hotel.

The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Meals: Dinner

Today, after breakfast, drive to Sweetwaters Camp, a luxury tented camp situated inside the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. On arrival, enjoy a hot lunch at the camp. Later, proceed for a game drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where you will have the opportunity to see the Big Five along with many other wildlife species, including black rhinos, wild dogs, and a rich variety of birdlife. Finally, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only sanctuary of its kind in Kenya, dedicated to orphaned, abandoned, and rescued chimpanzees. Overnight stay at Sweetwaters Camp.

Today after breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru. En route, have a brief stop at the mesmerizing Thomson Falls. Later, proceed to  Lake Nakuru, home to one of the most fabulous bird spectacles in the world. On arrival, enjoy a game drive where you can see large flocks of pink flamingos along the lake and may also get a chance to spot black rhinos, zebras, and other wildlife. Overnight stay at Lake Nakuru.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley en route to Masai Mara. The Great Rift Valley is a continuous geographic trench, approximately 6,000 kilometers in length, stretching from Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley in Asia to Mozambique in southeastern Africa. On arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit the Masai Mara Game Reserve, well known for its distinctive customs and traditional dress of the Maasai people. Overnight stay in Masai Mara.

Masai Mara is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves and a true paradise for photographers and nature lovers. Today, enjoy one of the most thrilling experiences with exciting game drives, offering the chance for close encounters with the famous Big Five — elephants, Cape buffaloes, leopards, lions, and rhinos — along with many other wild animals such as gazelles, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and hyenas. Optional: Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon ride over the vast plains of Masai Mara. Enjoy a spectacular view as you glide peacefully above the wilderness, spotting wildlife such as elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and many more  roaming freely below.

After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi. On arrival, enjoy a city orientation tour that includes a visit to the Giraffe Centre, a charming attraction where you can get up close to the giraffes, feed them, and learn more about this fascinating family of
animals. You will also cover the Parliament Building — Kenya’s Parliament House, an iconic landmark in Nairobi known for its impressive English-style clock tower. Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Today after breakfast, proceed to the airport for your flight to Cape Town. Welcome to Cape Town, known as the “Mother City” and the oldest city in South Africa. On arrival, proceed to your hotel. The remaining day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Cape Town.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a full-day Cape Peninsula Tour. Travel at a relaxed pace, allowing you to  explore the scenic beauty of the Cape Peninsula. Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa’s most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay. Enjoy a cruise to Seal Island to view seals and seabirds at Duiker Island (weather permitting). During summer, thousands of Cape fur seals, along with the rare black cormorant, can be seen resting among the kelp beds. Continue the journey along the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive (conditions permitting). Visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, then proceed to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The scenic drive en route to Cape Point, at the southwestern tip of the reserve, is especially beautiful in spring when wildflowers carpet the landscape. Visit the new lighthouse, one of the most powerful in the world, and ascend to the top by funicular. Return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Today, enjoy a scenic experience at the top of Table Mountain via a 360-degree cable car (weather permitting), offering panoramic views of the city and coastline. Later, visit one of Cape Town’s most famous tourist attractions. Drive past Greenmarket Square, District Six, Company Gardens, the Houses of Parliament, City Hall, the Castle, and the Slave Lodge. Enjoy a complimentary helicopter ride over the city of Cape Town (weather permitting – courtesy of Global Holidays). Overnight stay in Cape Town.

Check out and drive to Knysna, passing through the town of Mossel Bay, first discovered by Bartolomeu Dias more than 500 years ago. Here, visit the world-famous Post Office Tree at the Dias Museum Complex. On arrival in Knysna, enjoy a Knysna Lagoon boat cruise. Overnight stay in Knysna.

Today, head to Oudtshoorn, located in a semi-arid valley. Visit the famous Cango Caves, renowned as one of the world’s great natural wonders. Next, proceed to an Ostrich Farm, where you can enjoy a guided tour of the farm. Thereafter, visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch, where you can admire the grace and beauty of various animals and get close to crocodiles, exotic birds, tigers, cheetahs, and white lions. Overnight stay in Knysna.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. Proceed to George Airport for your flight to Johannesburg, from where you will take a connecting flight back home.
